The Master Gardener Association of the Piedmont (MGAP) is an organization
in Spartanburg County, South Carolina that trains residents
in horticultural topics, sponsors volunteer projects in the community,
and provides the Clemson Extension Service with trained volunteers.
Members must pass a Master Gardener certification course.
Current active membership is 236.
- The MG program is led by a state coordinator who is a member of the Clemson University Horticulture Department.
Guidance is provided by a statewide advisory committee that is made up of Master Gardners and Extension personnel from throughout S.C.
